No, the two serve different purposes. An emergency veterinary hospital is equipped to handle life-threatening conditions that require intensive, around-the-clock care. An urgent care facility, on the other hand, is designed to treat mild to moderate issues such as minor injuries, infections, coughing, or vomiting that need prompt attention but are not immediately life-threatening.
If your pet is experiencing trouble breathing, difficulty walking, signs of distress, persistent vomiting or diarrhea, or any sudden change in behavior, we recommend seeking urgent care right away. It is always better to have them evaluated sooner rather than later.
That depends on their condition and treatment plan. Our veterinary team will assess your pet during their visit and recommend any necessary follow-up care to ensure they are healing properly. If you have a regular veterinarian, we are happy to coordinate with them and share all records from the urgent care visit so your pet’s care remains seamless.
